Rovio, Freshplanet, Pocket Gems and others talk about building games on Google Cloud Platform
Friday, November 8, 2013
Steven Hauk of Rovio says that the most important thing to Rovio is “to delight our fans with great games and good products. And Google Cloud Platform allows us to focus on just that.”
When Rovio ships a new version of Angry Birds, they don’t have to provision new hardware in order to serve over 250 million active users. And since Songpop launched and eventually reached nearly 100 million users across the world, its creators at Freshplanet never worried about whether their servers will be able to handle the load.
That’s because these games are built on Google Cloud Platform - which is designed to scale smoothly whenever you need it.
